PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how MAGIS Performance collects, uses, and protects the information provided by users of our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the MAGIS Performance app, we may collect the following information:

  • Account information: Email address and password used to log into the app.
  • Profile information: Your name and role within the platform (player, parent, or coach).
  • Device token: A unique device identifier used exclusively to send push notifications related to your training program (session reports, evaluations, and reminders).
  • Training data: Session reports, evaluations, and progress records associated with your training program.
  • Chat content: Messages exchanged between players, parents, and coaches within the app — including text, photos, videos, voice recordings, and documents — to enable communication. Text messages are stored in Google Firebase, while photos, videos, voice recordings, and documents are stored on our own secure servers and are accessible only to the participants of each conversation.
Security: MAGIS Performance is committed to keeping your information secure. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored using industry-standard security measures provided by our infrastructure partners.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your account and provide access to the app.
  • Deliver push notifications related to your training sessions, reports, and evaluations.
  • Enable communication between players, parents, and coaches through the in-app chat.
  • Track and display your training progress within the platform.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

MAGIS Performance uses the following trusted third-party services to operate the app:

  • Google Firebase: Used for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and real-time chat text storage (Cloud Firestore). Firebase's privacy policy can be found at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
  • Our own secure servers: Your account data, training records, and chat media (photos, videos, voice recordings, and documents) are stored on our own servers hosted at online.magisperformance.com. Chat media is kept private and is accessible only to the participants of each conversation.

4. Cookies

The MAGIS Performance mobile application does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies to collect personal information or track your activity.

5. Biometric Authentication

If you choose to enable it, the app can store your password securely on your own device and unlock it using your fingerprint or face. This verification is performed entirely by your device's operating system: the app never receives, stores, or transmits your fingerprint or facial data, and none of it ever reaches our servers. You can disable this feature at any time from the login screen, which removes the stored password from your device.

6. Advertising and Analytics

The MAGIS Performance app contains no advertising of any kind. We do not use advertising networks, behavioral or interest-based advertising, analytics platforms, or third-party tracking software. We do not build advertising profiles of our users, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes. This applies to every user, and to children in particular.

7. Control of Your Personal Information

MAGIS Performance will not sell, transfer, or distribute your personal information to third parties without your consent, unless required by law or a court order. You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

8. Minors and Parental Supervision

MAGIS Performance is a youth sports coaching platform. The app is intended for athletes aged 13 and over, together with the parents, guardians and coaches involved in their training. Many of our users are therefore minors, and we apply specific measures to protect them. Where a younger child is enrolled in one of our programs, their parent or guardian can access that child's profile through the parent's own login.

Enrollment and staff activation. Athletes use the app as part of a coaching program they are enrolled in with MAGIS Performance, and that enrollment is arranged by a parent or legal guardian. A registration request can be submitted from the app, but a new account has no access to any content until it has been reviewed and activated by MAGIS Performance staff. We activate an account only for someone enrolled in one of our programs with the consent of their parent or guardian. Separately, the in-app chat stays switched off until our staff assigns a coach.

Parents have their own access. Every player profile can be accessed by the athlete's parent or guardian through the parent's own login, over that same profile. Parents can see the same training reports, evaluations and conversations that their child sees.

What we collect from minors. The information described in Section 1 — account and profile details, a device token for push notifications, training data, and chat content. We do not collect precise location, contacts, or any data beyond what is needed to deliver the coaching program, and as stated in Section 6 we run no advertising, analytics or tracking of any kind.

Communication is closed and supervised. Users cannot search for, discover, or contact other users of the app. An athlete can only exchange messages with the coach and staff assigned to them by MAGIS Performance, and with group conversations created by our staff. There is no open or public chat, no user directory, and no contact with strangers. Chat is disabled by default on a new account and is only enabled once a coach has been assigned. All conversations, including edited and deleted messages, are recorded and can be reviewed by authorized MAGIS Performance staff.

Parental rights. A parent or guardian may at any time request to review the personal information we hold about their child, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw their consent and ask us to stop collecting further information.
